Dianna's Story
Life
After Poly I attended LBCC and graduated when I decided to work instead of go on for my Bachelor of Science degree.
I got married to Robert Rivera (whom I dated all through high school), had a beautiful son then unfortunately got divorced.
I decided I would need more education to support my son so I worked during the day and took classes at CSUDH during the evening while my parents babysat. My son was 3 years old when I graduated with my Business Management degree.
Got a great job, bought a house in Cypress and my son attended the Los Alamitos schools from K thru 12. I never moved very far from my Long Beach roots. Neither did m...Expand for more
y son, he attended LBCC and is currently in the Psych program at CSULB.
When my son was 11 years old I remarried. Duane was my love and soulmate, we enjoyed camping in our RV, taking the boat and Seadoos out for recreation, BBQing at home after of day of gardening or home improvement projects, talked about upcoming travels and had great plans for our future - espeicaly retirement.
Shortly after we celebrated his 50th birthday, he died very suddenly and unexpected. As a widow at age 45, feeling robbed of the wonderful life we had I still do all the things we loved with our friends to fill the time until ... ? I have no idea what is next.
