Most will remember me as a very shy, quiet person. I was married and had a baby at the end of our senior year - followed by two more kids. When the kids were 3, 7 and 9, their father and I were divorced. It was a very difficult time for me. But rather than go on welfare or depend upon others for help, I got a job working full-time at Paccar Parts as a file clerk! and part-tme at Penny's in Southcenter. I went back to school. For the next 5.25 years, I worked, took care of my kids, and went to school. I graduated with a degree in Business, earning a 3.95 GPA. It was hard work, but I did it all on my own. Thankfully, my kids were super great during this period. When I fianlly graduated, their only comment was that they never wanted to eat another hotdog as long as they lived!! I said that I did it all on my own, but that's not quite correct. Paccar paid for my schooling. All I paid for was parking and books.
