Martha's Story

In High School my friend was Debbie Warren. We hung around together and had a great time. We were boy crazy. After High School I went to work for Morrison's Cafeteria on Norwood at the Gateway shopping center, and started dating this boy I knew at Ribault. Debbie got married. Then in Jan 73 I met my future husband who had just come back from being in the Navy in Vietnam. In 1977 while he was in the Coast Guard, we got married. In 1977 I had my first child, a Boy. hen in 1979 I had my second and last child, also a Boy. We moved around a lot while my husband was in the Coast Guard. Then he retired in 1992, and we came back to Jacksonville. We bought a house near Carvill Park, and we have been there for the last 17 years. My husband and I celebrated our 32nd Wedding Anniversary this past March.My oldest son went to Ribault High School, and graduated in 1997. My youngest son graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, 1n 1999.
