Barb's Story
Marriied before I turned 18, stupidly. Then I decided to go to school, an Associates in Accounting. Married again, better. Son in 81, son in 88. Decided to quit trying for a girl, went back to school to be an xray tech. Really happy in that job, screwed it up with my big mouth (go figure) and now I work for a podiatrist--get to xray some, but mostly sweep up toenail clippings, sadly.
Kids are both in the Army Reserve, really proud of them--but also really scared a lot. One has been to Iraq and back, all fingers and toes intact. He is probably going to the 'Stan next year. The other one, an Army medic, is...Expand for more
not supposed to be deployed anyplace but the US, but now I know, the Army lies a lot. Wish I would have kept trying for a girl, because having boys--they are more independent, and dont want to hang with Mom so much. My parents are both gone now, Mom in 2000-Dad in 2001. Mom had MS, so I took care of her for years. Now that is over, and it seems like I dont know what to do with myself. Damn kids wont settle down and have me some grandkids, so mostly I am bored! Must be why I tried this! So if we were buddies then, contact me now--I am a lonely person, my husband likes to stay home--and I love to go out.
