Barb 's Story

Life Hello thanks for stopping by. My high school name was Bobbie Wirey. I left the end of my Jr year to have my daughter(Jen)1971 and to be married to Wayne Hutchens. Later graduating from Crothersville High School in 1973. In 1975 I had a son (Tim). We were married 18 year when he cheated on me.(church friend at that) After my divorce I joined Chapel Rock Christian Church to start a new life. GIFTS FROM GOD: Taught myself Sign Language, took SL classes at the deaf school, in the Sign Choir "Silent Messengers", interpreter at the church, taught SL to others, was a mentor to a deaf friend. Still enjoy teaching people Sign Language, it's easy to learn the basics, we all know SL anyway. Sign language opens a whole new world for our community. I feel God has granted me this gift. Marriage: I was alone for about 15-18 years until I met Rich Grigsby and we later married. We have been married for 13 years, have 10 grandkids, 6 are on my side. WORK: *Worked for Golden Rule Ins for 10 years. *Worked for Allied-Barton Security 8 years, do to my health I do not work. FUTURE: *My husband retired/Jan 2007 so we are enjoying a different world and life at the age of 55 & 57. Right now we are trying to see what the two of us want to do since his retirement, so life for us is a song called: "It's A Whole New World song" ha ha INTEREST, HOBBIES, ENTERTAINMENT: *Taught myself to play the Mountain Dulcimer (you don't have to read music to play a dulcimer)(I don't read music) *Taught myself to...Expand for more
play the Psaltery, I have been playing for 1 year. *Was on stage playing the dulcimer in Springfield Ohio 2006 during a dulcimer festival with a group of people. *I'm still going on stage with groups, and I now attend two different dulcimer groups (we play in nursing homes/retirement places and churches). Crafts/Hobbies: *Creat all-occasion cards, scrap booking, make different crafts, knit, crochet, cross stitch, write poems (won a prize on the radio for one of the poems), camping, boating, fishing, travel, photography, entertaining with family and friends, talking with people, meeting new people. Pets: *I love animals but to busy to have the real thing so we have the stuffed or plastic pets (we even take them camping as a joke with our camping group. We even had a wedding with tucks & wedding dress. REMODELING OF HOME: *I have remodeled the basement (sheets work really well to hide the over head beams). *Created a Colts room for my husband and his friends in the basement if he wants to party down there. *Wow I can even have a scrapbooking party so listen up girls ;-) *I hope if some of you read my bio might play dulcimer or do crafts, then we could get together, share old memories and start some new memories. *Where have all the scrapers and crafters gone? Thanks for stopping by and reading my bio, Bobbie or Barb Wirey-Hutchens-Grigsby *May all who enter my bio be blessed. My prayer is: God is always with you, even if there is one set of foot prints in the sand.
