Barbara's Story

Barbara, now Barb, has been married to Howard Collins, for almost 26 years. After graduating from Island Trees High School, Barb got her BA in Art/Elementary Education from McDaniel College, in Maryland where she now resides. Barb also completed a M.ED Deaf Education, and is currently writing a book about hearing loss. Barb (Bailey) Collins enjoys many children's books, The Mitford Series by Jan Karon, Francine Rivers books, and recently The $100 StartUp by Chris Guillebeau. Movies she likes include The Incredibles, The Parent Trap, and Guess Who Is Coming to Dinner. TV shows she likes aren't on TV anymore, although Barb likes Wheel of Fortune, Jeo...Expand for more
pardy, and Family Feud with Steve Harvey. He is a hot! One of Barbara's favorite quotes is: Jesus wept....what compassion! More about Barb: After teaching 2nd grade eons ago, and a host of other ages, Barb has now written two children's picture books, and has begun offering Author Visits to daycares, libraries, and schools to promote literacy, and inspire even the youngest child to write picture books. Have a great reunion everyone! I'm so glad we are really just celebrating another 29nd birthday, and that we aren't really THAT old. However, if Barb was able to celebrate with ya'll she'd probably show up in a Red and Purple Hat. Love those ladies!!
