Barbara's Story

Life Wow, I can't believe it's been this long! I married a military man in 81, divorced him in 97. In the meantime we had 2 girls and 2 boys. We have lived in quite a few places - Germany, N.C., Tennessee, Louisiana - all very fun in their own way. My kids are wonderful and I'm very proud of them all. I have 3 grandchildren and 3 step-grand...Expand for more
kids. I had been manager of a convenience store, but after 2 robberies at gunpoint, I decided I'd had enough and changed careers! Since 2001 I've been working as a caregiver to mentally/physically handicapped persons. My mom passed away in 2003 and I lived with my dad after that to care for him till his passing in March of last year (2008).
