Time is really flying and I know everyone says that, but as each day is a smaller portion of your life, it really does kick into hyperspace at this stage of life! I have been widowed now 10 years, after my husband of 34 years died of a massive stroke in December of 2000. I have 2 children, boy and a girl who are pretty much on their own and are rolling stones like their parents. They love to travel. My daughter lives in KC now after being evacuated out of New Orleans because of Katrina and a short stay in Florida. Thank goodness she listened to mom and got out of New Orleans in time! But she still loves the area and visits it whenever she can. My son is in Stillwater, OK and keeping busy being a Residence Area Coordinator for OSU.He's been in that job area ever since graduating from Emporia State. Still no grandbabies, and apparently not in the near future either. :( Meanwhile, I am still working..lately as a substitute grade school teacher and this year I am working every morning as a Kindergarden para.
