Barbara's Story
I’ve been married for over 58 years to Louis who graduated in 1962 from Yale, Mi. I worked for Sears in Auditing and then as a Recording Secretary for Independence Twp in Clarkston, Mi. My hubby retired after 37 yrs as a skilled tradesman at GM’s Pontiac Motors, we sold our house and were full time RVer’s for 23 yrs in a 38’ motor home. We have 4 kids (2 boys and 2 girls), and 7 (5 boys and 2 girls), grandkids. Three of our kids live near us and one and her family live just outside Denver, Co. o, her brother lost his job when Bed Bath and Beyond closed, but now has a job with the county clerk’s office. One grandson is just finishing up his internships as a Physician’s Assistant, another works with dogs and our last granddaughter is at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, studying to be an illustrator - she is so good at this! Another grandson is in college and the youngest is a junior in high school! I’ve had a great life and enjoyed all our travels across the US and Canada. We did the Lake Superior Circle Tour and I’’d highly lrecommend it!
