Barbara's Story

Life After graduation I moved to Scotland. I then trained as a general nurse, midwife and public health nurse. I got married in 1975 to a Scottish musician and had my first son, Hamish. in the early '90's and got a BA in Community Health Studies and then an MBA. After 32 years in Scotland I finally moved back to Canada (Calgary) in 2003 and worked as the Provincial Harm Reduction Manager for 12 year. My husband and I retired in 2016 and moved to rural Nova Scotia where we run a small Airbnb and I work as a Justice of the Peace,
