Barbara's Story

Life A Keyport Native..from Lockport..had lots of fun growing up in this small town, with lots of friends,a time when everyone knew everyone and watched out for each other. The teachers thought I was the last Blake (4 boys,4 girls) but NOT...Even my oldest son went to West Keyport & the newly built Keyport Central.... Workplace After graduation, I started working at the age of 18. It was a very good learning experience and made a lot of close friends. Unfortunetly, after about 8 months, the company closed down. So, I went to work in Morganville, for an electical factory, with the experience as an electrical assembler and wiring and solderer, reading blue prints and wiring schematics, and worked my way up to inspector for the end of the line. The work was very fast, but never dull. In the mean time I had my first born son, Stephen. Then I worked two jobs. During the tax season I had a friend who enrolled me in the H & R Block tax school and from there I breifly had my own office, and worked nights for two years. I have worked as a receptionist in a senior citizan building, and worked until my marriage and my second son,William, was born in 1988. Made lots of friends, and met some very interesting persons along the way. Would very much like to hear from classmates and friends just to catch up with their lives. Think about all the friends and fun we had during those four years (8 if you count elementry). Living in K...Expand for more
eyport at that time, you felt like a part of a very big family. E-mail me and lets catch up. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to Central Baptist Church, then spend the rest on A home, family and a car. My current age is 60. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be mean and grumpy. I was so completely wrong!. My best friend would tell you I'm outgoing, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as conservative. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel every room and add on a few more rooms. My dream home would be in Puerto Rico. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my bff Pat, because we always have a fun time together.. My favorite way to relax is to put on my music collection(Elvis Presley) at the highest volume and sing & dance. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good people, varity, and music to be able to deal with the day-to-day. They haven't changed much since I was young, they still think they know everything and I know nothing! I share my home with my youngest son, which I find interesting more every day. In 10 years, I hope to be somewhere else!. I'm going to get there by hook or by crook!. WE met in grade school...We discovered our mothers were also friends! My first job was at EAC Electronics, where I got paid $1.62 an hour to dip wires in solder. What I remember most about it is I thought that was a Lot of money!.
