Barbara's Story
I'm still living in Toledo. I got married when I was 21 to Mike Fisher. We have two sons and divorced after 17 years of wedded bliss. He is now deceased. I went back to school during my divorce and became a medical assistant. Things went okay until this past year. But I found out life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. I'm not working now as I am on disability.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jim McCoy, because he was my first real love.
Of all my teachers, Joseph Spaulding stands out in my mind. He thought I was special.

ar and surgery.
My first crush was on a boy named Paul. I thought he was wonderful. But his Dad discouraged him thinking he was way too young to have a relationship. We were in grade school so of course he was right. But it hurt anyway.
I share my home with my children, which I find irritating at times.
If I had one do-over I would not have married Mike Fisher.
People who knew me in high school would be surprised at how I look now. They would not recognize me.
My first job was at Bennet & Smith, where I got paid $5.00 an hour to answer phones and keep the books. What I remember most about it is JR, the boss's son held his meetings with clients at the corner bar.
