Barbara's Story
Life
I graduated from college in 1971 as a high school speech/drama and English teacher. I taught, got married, got a Master's Degree in Education (counseling), moved a lot, had two children, separated, and landed in South Bend, IN, as a single parent. For the last 12 years I've been teaching 7th grade language arts and this year I finally get to try my hand at c...Expand for more
ounseling. I'm active in the teacher's union and I really get into the field of education. My greatest success -- raising two pretty great kids (almost).
I have more time on my hands now and I'd really like an excuse to travel -- maybe to connect with old friends. I'm not nearly ready to retire yet but I'd like to make better use of my vacations from school.
