Barbara's Story
Life
Had complete change of career path. I am now a full-time personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Who would have guessed?
Graduated from UC Davis in Genetics and started at UC Santa Barbara for grad school ... until I realized that was NOT the life I wanted. So I ditched the whole biology thing and I'm now doing what makes ME happy.
What's the point of living a life to make others happy if you're miserable?

College
Started off as a Biological Sciences major at UC Davis, but switched to Genetics, which was more specific. Minored in music and Human Development. Spent most of my non-studying awake time doing gymnastics with the UC Davis Gymnastics Club. Loved my last year where I sang alto in the University Chorus.
Started in the Master's Degree track at UC Santa Barbara, switched over to the PhD track, and shortly thereafter realized I didn't want to live in a lab for the rest of my life.
