Barbara's Story
I went to business college after graduation. Then in the fall of '65 my family moved to Knappa, OR so my dad could transfer to the new CZ mill; I also worked there for 4 years until Dec. '69. during that time I went back to college for a law class as I wanted to be a legal secretary. I met my husband, Steve, in '68 and got married that same year and we then moved to Clatskanie, OR in '72. We've been married for 48 years. and they are coming home soon; our oldest granddaughter, Sarah, is currently selling items 19in an antique booth; Emma is 10 and Kennedy is 8. I worked as a legal secretary and legal assistant from '76 through '92 when we moved to Longview, WA and I worked in the Timber Dept. at Longview Fibre Company using my legal skills for 10 years until retiring in 2002. Life has been pretty good, usual ups and downs including some health problems, but all together, I'm really a happy camper. I like to travel in our 5th wheel trailer and take occasional ocean cruises, read, garden, spend time with my family and friends.
