Barbara's Story

I moved to Sacramento, California in 1973 and started working with the State of California in 1976. I have not retired, yet (smile) - I just celebrated 33 years of State of California civil service employment. I'm a manager in a headquarters human resources office. My office works directly for the Governor of Cal...Expand for more
ifornia implementing human resources laws, rules, and policies. I love my job that is probably why I continue to work and live in California. I have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren (4 boys and 1 girl ages 7 to 15 years old) life is full between the grandchildren and my job, though I'm looking forward to retirement.
