Barbara's Story

Life After graduation from high school, I entered nurses training, but interrupted my education to get married and mover overseas. I spent 21 years as a Navy wife and raised seven children. We settled in a small town in western Washington and have been here for over 40 years. My husband passed away in 2003. I returned to school in 1986 when my youngest entered h...Expand for more
igh school. I have earned five college degrees since that time and should complete my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in November 2007. My children are all grown and have produced 8 grandchildren. I am a professor teaching at a community college and am the chair of the Human Services, I work part-time as a court-appointed advocate for dependent children.
