Barbara's Story
I am a US Postal Service retiree (18 years) and worked in Clearwater, Florida and Avon, Ohio as a clerk and a city carrier. Previous to that I worked at the Lorain (Morning) Journal for over 11 years, and a shorter stint at the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, and set type for book manuscripts at Oberlin Printing Company for about 5 years. I have been married twice, and have a wonderful son (who lives in Denver) and grandson who is graduating from high school this year and starting college next year. I am a humanitarian who tries to help animals and people as well. I absolutely love animals! I consider myself an amateur artist/hobbyist...Expand for more
and presently belong to art clubs in the areas I live. I mostly oil paint, but do colored pencils/charcoal and also stained glass. I do Genealogy as a hobby, gardening and still work in the arts and sew. I have lived in Safety Harbor and Clearwater, Florida. Moved to Crossville, Tennessee (on the Cumberland Plateau) for 10 years, lived in Lorain again for awhile, moved back to Florida (Cape Coral), and more recently moved to Greenville, South Carolina (even though I can't seem to change my location on this profile from Florida). All this with 4 pets in tow..... I would like to stay in touch with my Classmates and Lorain friends.
