High School seems A LONG TIME AGO! Thank God we continue to grow and learn! I don't remember many people from the days of Southport. But, I do remember some great teachers that helped me through a lonely time as an awkward teenager. My father was killed in a plane crash several years before we moved to Indy. I do remember that, for the most part, my peers were warm and friendly people. I was angry,lonely, frightened and felt totally out of place and struggled to concentrate with all of the life issues. College tamed some of this feeling and life did the rest. It's just life and these experiences and your reactions create YOU. From DePauw University, I just had to marry the one, very bright and wonderful young man that would put up with me while I grew up...still haven't and after 32 years, he's still putting up with me:-) I continued to advanced education at Butler University after my BA in English from DePauw. I excelled in retail starting as a buyer at L.S. Ayres in Indianoplace. I continued to excel, and I was very driven and focused (unlike high school).
