Barbara's Story

Life For those of you who remember me, you may remember a skinny (very) kid who was not in the swing of things. I was not a popular kid nor did I run with the crowd. Now I am a married woman,61 years, have 3 girls who are the pride of my life. My oldest is a nail specialist. She does real and artificial nails and does artwork on them, she is very creative. My middle child is a teacher. She teaches special education. My youngest one is still in school. She is graduating this year (2008) and going into the army. She is going to train as an MP after basic training and then go into dog handling. I have nine dogs only 4 which are mine. I am keeping the others ...Expand for more
for my daughters for various reasons. LOL (The things a mother won't do for their kids!). I am now retired from nursing after breaking my wrist. It is frozen in position and I can no longer nurse so I stay at home and craft. I am very happy being at home after so many years of working. We moved from Tennessee 2 years ago after spending 24 years there. We now live in Louisiana close to Ft. Polk. Since Jerry retired from the army, we are taking advantage of the benefits. Would love to hear from you if you feel like writing. Come visit us and see the alligators in the wild. It is so neat. We went to the wildlife refuge and saw them, close up and personal!
