Barbara's Story
Life
I went to Avonmore Elementary, then Donnan Junior High. I was suppose to go to Bonnie Doon, but went to Victoria Comp. High, then eventually to Alberta College. I moved out to Clearwater, B.C. in 1975. I am still in Clearwater. I keep in touch with lots of my old friends in Edmonton.
Married for 34 years, two daughters, one son in law, the other passed away in Jan/07 in a logging accident and a grandparent to four grandchildren. Just a short note added: I have been looking at the names that sign into or visit my guestbook, I do not recognize any of the names. So if you know me or recognise me and want to get in touch, email me and please tell me the particulars. You know we are all getting forgetful sometimes, in our old age and the mind is going.....smile

Workplace
I came to Clearwater in 1975 to visit my brother and ended up staying here. Worked cutting shake blocks with him. Met my present husband. Had 2 wonderful daughters. Eventually worked doing silviculture work in the bush, contracted Cone collections with two crews of 10 to 15 people in different area, Worked bush fires & as a timekeeper. Then decided that I was starting to get to old to do such hard outside work."smile". Went back to school and took Book keeping. Worked doing that to this day, but only for my business and my husband's Sawmill business. In 2004, went to school to become a Shiatsu Therapist, Acupressure Massage Therapist and a Certified Reflexologist, and am doing quite well and love it. My business is called " Body Harmony Shiatsu Clinic ".
