Barbara's Story
I went to Memorial High School Spring Branch for my freshman and sophomore years, then my family moved to Tulsa, OK and I graduated from Memorial there in 1968. Went to the University of Oklahoma for 3 semesters, met my future husband in Houston and moved back to Houston to marry (1970) and work. Went to the University of Houston at night, graduating with degree in journalism. th degree in anthropology from Univ. of North Texas and masters in horticulture from SFA, she married last year and they're expecting a baby this summer; son spent two years at UT Austin and currently works in NYC. I divorced in 1990; currently single. Went back to graduate school in 2002 --University of South Carolina for MA in Public History. Lived in SC for three years working on various projects. Currently living in Rio Grande Valley and working as senior curator and archivist at the Museum of South Texas History. Basically still in communications, just new audiences and new messages.
