Barbara's Story
I graduated, got a job, had a son and here I am...still in C'ville. Most recently I have begun to see more and more people I graduated with out and about. It's cool to run into classmates and see what they've been up to. I really like it here in C'ville. I have a good job. I've been with the same company for almost 15 years.
I had my son in '93. It was just Kyle and me for a long time. Being a single parent is challenging but I have no regrets. It allowed me to bond with my son and spend some really great times together. He's almos...Expand for more
t 15 now and it's cool because he still wants me to shoot hoops with him and hang out together.
Being a parent has been the best part of my life. It's funny to think back to when I was in school...how different everything was then. Some times I forget that I am not 16 anymore...but then reality hits and I'm 30-somthing again :o) Life and being a parent has definetly changed me.
Yeah - if I could go back and do anything different I probably would've gotten better grades in school. I'd do all the things I preach to my son now :o)
