The photo was taken after my son, Brian, graduated from from CSU, Ft. Collins, CO, two years ago. We were in the apartment that the boys were all sharing at the time. From L to R include Kyle ( my youngest and tallest 6'4") Steve (husband), Brian (The Graduate), me, and their cousin Sam (my nephew). My story: After graduation from Marina, I started attending CSULB. I received my BSN in Jan. 1976, and now have been an RN for almost 35 years. I began working in adult med/surg at St Mary's Hospital/Bauer Medical Center right after graduation. In 1980 I married Dan Rose from Cheyenne, WY, and we subsequently moved to Boulder, CO. I started working at Colorado General (now University Hospital) in pediatrics in Denver. Our first son, Brian, was born 12/83, then Kyle in 07/86. I earned my master's in Health Education in 1986 at UNC in Greeley, 6 mos. after Kyle was born. Today Brian has a BS in Math and a BA in Sociology, and is workiing as a statistician/software developer for Shop at Home.com. Kyle is now enrolled at CSU in Ft. Collins for a BS in math. This is funny because my dad almost cried trying to help me with my algebra homework when I was a freshman at Marina. He would not believe the boys were math majors, being born of me! In 1989, Dan passed away of cancer, after battling it for 21 months. Brian was 5 and in kindergarten, and Kyle was 3. It was a very sad time for us, and I almost moved back to CA to be near my folks. Then I realized the boys and I had grown roots in our little community of Louisville, and we continued to stay in our home until 2003 when we moved to Erie (not PA, but the Erie east of Boulder).
