Barbara's Story
Barbara graduated from Florida A and M University's School of Nursing with a BSN Degree and Golden Gate University with a MPA degree in Health Care Adminstration. She served as an Air Force Officer in the Nurse Corps during the Vietnam Era. Her career includes several Senior Executive positions in the health care industry. 012 and she relocated to Washington DC to serve as a political appointee in the Obama Administration as the Director of the Center for Minority Veterans. She has been an adjunct faculty member at several universities including Golden Gate University in San Francisco. She is the proud mother of her daughter Joy. Healthy living is a priority and she enjoys Zumba, Pilates and playing golf. She remains active with the AKA sorority. Barbara currently resides in Alexandria Virginia where she plans to retire.
