Hello everyone!
Gosh, I miss the good ol' days. All those belly laughs and turning off the sound on Star Trek and giving our own narration.
In 2002 I graduated with a B.S. degree in computer science (just when the job market for technology went kaputs). However, I am now working at a college in North Georgia (deep, deep south) as a web content developer (web design, programming, content creation).
I live in the woods and mountains with a cold water mountain river 50 feet from my door (great for tubing). Beautiful, but very humid in the summer. Before living in Georgia I had lived in Florida (St. Pete and Panama...Expand for more
City) and lived on a 56-foot stay-sail ketch sailboat which my husband (we are separated now) had built.
I really, really miss the midwest, and Bloomington in particular. (There's no place like home.) Someday I'll move a little farther north, like it up there.
I have started playing Second Life online and I love it! I've met people all over the world. My college now has an island there and I'm the main builder (talk about fun!). A basic account is free. Look for me under the name of Helena Kiama and I'll show you around.
