Barbara's Story
Life
I married Bob Blane in 1973. He was a police officer in Bristol Twp and after a head injury while on the job, he developed problems that eventually led to our divorce in 1978. Before our divorce, though, he bought me something I told him I always wanted - a horse. I ended up keeping the horse longer than my husband. That horse meant more to me than all the men I dated during my single life. In fact, I met my second husband at a riding club banquet. We married in 1996 and owned a small boarding and breeding farm...Expand for more
not too far from Quakertown. The farm & my horses are still there, but, alas, I'm recently divorced again.
I am employed by St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem working in the clinical laboratory.
My horses got me involved in politics when I learned that USDA developed a plan that involved registering every livestock animal in the country. I am still involved in opposing intrusive government regulations whenever I can. In fact, I even made a brief run for State Senator as the Libertarian candidate in a special election.
