Barbara's Story
After high school, I married Dean Middlebrooks and stayed in Fort Lauderdale (lived in Oakland Park) - that lasted for 10 years, the good part was that we had 2 kids - Ronnie & Dee. I had the chance to move to Virginia thru family, lived in Culpeper for 2 years, met Walt Presson and moved to Yorktown. We married in '77 and I still live in the same house, 32 years later. NASA, me, I worked different jobs, one being a high school cafeteria manager (loved it) - but mostly we have built houses for the past 24 years - I have been able to design most of what we have built (we never did volume - just 1 or 2 custom homes at a time. I have 5 grandchildren from my 2 kids (my step children have no children). My family is the most important part of my life. I also love to keep in touch with my old friends.
