Barbara's Story
Life
My life bio..I can't fit everything between the lines, but here goes: While I was going to St. Al's, I wanted to be a Dominican nun. Forget about that idea. I had a son, Scott, graduated from Montclair State, taught a little, and decided to go into advertising...I worked for newspapers for awhile, then went on to Personnel Recruiting. Moved to Leoti,Kansas, got married, and then moved to Palm Springs, CA for awhile. Then back to KS and had my son Brendan, back to NJ, ended up having Brian, and owning a house in Denville after I divorced. The boys and I drove halfway across the country to decide where to move,(a big adventure), decided on Lindsborg, KS. This is a very nice town to raise kids. Now they've flown the coop, and I'm a single Mom with cats and dogs, just like the crazy old ladies I used to talk about. I will be selling the house soon, after I sift through everything, and reduce the amount of possessions I have. I would like to move back to Jersey, maybe down the shore, on the coast, and meet someone nice to spend the rest of my life with. I haven't met my life...Expand for more
companion yet, but I believe he's out there. I have my own business now, Barbala's Bags (beaded handbags) and work uptown in a retail store until my business expands. My friend has some horses, who I ride, and a paint colt who's 5 months old that I love to help train & groom. I have achieved many of the goals I set. The most important people in my life are my sons, the rest of my family, and my friends. Because I was dating a man from West Orange when I was in High School, I didn't really have a chance to get to know my classmates very well, and I would like to. I love reading, anything about legal, medical, techno thrillers, Maeve Binchey...National Geographic, Smithsonian; science & medical channels on tv. I really like to cook. It's tough to relearn how to make a small pan of spaghetti sauce when you're used to making a stockpot full with meatballs, and my sons and their friends would devour it. I want to still be walking on the beach when I'm old. Wait, I want to still be walking the beach with the man I love when I'm old, and getting together with family and friends.
