Well I guess I can start from after high school. It is a lot of years ago and I will try to be brief. I went to business school for one year to build up my office skills. I worked for Washington Natural Gas for almost 15 years, a clerk/typist in the Marketing Department for the first ten years, then I started a pilot program at the North Operating Base taking and scheduling orders for gas appliances to be installed. I decided to leave the gas company for two reasons. First my mom was in a nursing home for the last years of her life and I wanted to go into health care. Also, the gas company was talking about merging with the electric company Puget Sound Energy so I thought it was a good time to get out. I became a Nursing Assistant Certified and worked at Northwest Hospital in the Recovery Room for five years. Then I went to a surgical center in Kirkland and worked in the Recovery Room there for five years.
