Barbara Morey's Story
Life
Following high school, I worked at Fort Leavenworth, where I met my first husband, a student in the Regular Course. In 33 years of marriage, we moved all over the U.S., had three children, and ended up in Florida.
After graduating from college in 1986, I worked a number of years as a corporate writer/editor, including a stint as associate editor at the national office of the American Automobile Association. After my marriage ended in 1994, I was single for five years before marrying a fellow AAA employee.

inally, I decided to go back to school to pursue a master's degree in counseling and loved every second of it, too. In fact, I graduated May 8, 2010 as the oldest person in the class and the oldest person who ever graduated from the counseling program! Now I'm writing; one book was published recently, and I have three others in the works.
My three children and three grandchildren all live in the Orlando area, and my husband's son lives in Sarasota, so we are able to see them quite often. My granddaughter, who got married to a Marine last year, is expecting in October--my first great-grandchild.
