Life Hi to all you Sylmar Spartans, When I left school after graduation I worked for a year and then married John Verhagen in 1968. John took up desert racing and in 1969 2 weeks before our son was born he was in a terrible accident. He lost his left hand, but this didn't keep him from doing all the things he loved to do. We were living in Sylmar when the 1971 Earthquake hit and I was expecting our daughter. We lost quite alot, but again came thru it okay. In 1973 we bought our second home in Sylmar on Montero Ave and lived there for 15 years. John and I divorced in 1989. My son has 2 children a son and a daughter. My daughter is married has 2 boys. I lost my brother Denny Mueller in 1986 of a Cardio Myopothy and my dad in 1983 of the same condition. My mother passed away in 1989 of Liver Cancer, so all I have left is my little sister Sheri and she lives in Bakersfield.
