Barbara's Story

Life We enjoyed our 50th anniversary celebration and will celebrate the first anniversary of our 50th in August, by going to San Francisco.We have two children. Mickey is 50 and a Pathologist, with his own lab. He has a wife, Gloria, and two daughters, Juliana is 15 and Camille is 13 1/2. Pamela,age 48, our daughter, is a graphic designer is married to Manuel, and they have one son, Daniel, who is 12 1/2. We love snow skiing, traveling and we sing in three groups, including the Boise Master Chorale.We also enjoy pro basketball, live theater, live musical concerts, (especially classical music,) comedy clubs and first run, artsy type movies. We moved here to Boise seven years ago to be close to both kids. We have lived all over the US, but a stay in Houston for 24 years and after that, retirement in Bandera, were our two longest stays. English as a Second Language in the Houston school district for years and loved it. I am a 29 year breast cancer survivor and happy for each day. Patrick and I have seven dogs, four of whom we take to nursing homes as registered therapy dogs.We also have three cats and many chickens, whom we do not eat, but give away the eggs. We are heavily involved with Habitat for Humanity, serving on several committees and building houses when our schedules are free from grandchildren's soccer/basketball games and our concerts.I'd love to hear from anyone who might remember me. Actually, I was the invisible person throughout school and ony became a viable human after marriage and lots of life experiences. Most people do school,marrige, children in that order.
