Barbara's Story
Happily married to the same man since '74. Have 4 daughters- born in '80,'82,'85 and'89. Have moved to several cities/states but have been living in Dallas since '90 and most likely will not be moving from here especially since I now have a sister(Reenie) and a brother(Bill) who have come down from Canada in recent years. Have been a "stay at home" mom since having my children, doing all the PTA volunteer, soccer mom stuff including driving a minivan(I heard the groans). Now getting ready to be an empty-nester with my youngest going off to college in Aug. So I'm hoping to get to do some more traveling especially to visit one of my daughters who's in grad school in Madrid. None of my daughters are married yet so I guess I have that "fun" to go thru yet. Well that's an update on a relatively boring person. Now WAKE UP! ly so we will be going over there for a civil ceremony and then back here in Dallas for a religious ceremony probably in the spring. I am now out of the van and driving a fun car and also learning to play tennis. And still happily married.
2022 update: Attended the 50th high school reunion in the 52nd year and had a blast reconnecting with several alums. Happy to relay that I remembered lots of classmates considering I only attended MW for my senior year. Also celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary on 5-25 and welcomed our 6th grandchild on 6-9. So we are now evened up with 3 girls and 3 boys. Still playing tennis at least once a week solely as a form of exercise and still enjoying it. Getting to travel more but babysitting grandkids does come into play a bit but love spending time with them while they still want too!
Husband Ed continues to work and not planning on retiring anytime soon which kind of guarantees us hitting the 50th milestone!
