When I left Chipley i thought i would never look back--but you know what they say about never saying never! I joined the navy, got stationed in california, met and married a fellow sailor from california (Modesto--infamous for the peterson murders--i find that wierdly interesting that their name was my maiden one and it happened in my husband's home town). Both my husband and i left the Navy in the early eighties and had trouble finding and maintaining jobs in california during that time. My husband decided to join the Coast guard and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 2, about 12 years ago. We have one son who is married but no grandchildren yet, we are told it is in the talking stages though. My husband now works in the digital imaging field and i am primarilary a social worker. My latest job was as a supported employment coach for mentally challenged adults and i loved it and plan to continue to work in this or related fields forever...Expand for more
