Hello classmates! You may remember me by my maiden name (Barbara Purvis) It has been 31 years ago that I graduated from CASHS. I was a quiet student, but I remember a lot of you and I recognize your names posted here at classmates.com. I got married in 1974, four years after I graduated, and I have been married for 27 years. I am the mother of seven (7) children (five girls and two boys). My oldest graduated from college last year with a bachelor's degree in accounting and is working for the Dept of Labor here in Chicago. I have three others that are currently in college. I was a full-time mother for almost 20 yrs. I didn't get the opportunity to go to college when I graduated, but through my childrens' encouragement, I have been a college student for the past 2 yrs. and I will receive my associates degree after this fall semester(2001) in the field of business. It's never too late to do the things you may have longed to do back in 1970 after graduation, I am a living witness. I may be getting older, but age is just a number. Afterall, with age comes wisdom, and I am much wiser now than I was 30 some yrs. ago. I am glad I found this website (classmates.com) It brings back so many memories to read the bios and stories from so many classmates that I attended high school with. I miss all of you!
