Barbara's Story
Boy have I changed! I went to college and got a degree in nursing and was an L.P.N. for 17 years.Then it came to me that I was doing the same work almost as an R,N, for much less money. So back to school I went. By then i was a single mom with four kids. But if you want something bad enough you have to go for it . So I did. Now I am a 14 year R.N. I have grown kids, and 4 grand babies. Life has never been better. My kids taught me to be so much more outgoing t...Expand for more
han I ever would have imagined. In fact most every thing I learned after 1982 has in one way or another been brought on by children. I have learned how to have fun, and that not every thing has to be so serious. They have taught me to relax and enjoy life again.
I was a olympic torchbearer in 2001, because of my work in hospice. I took me 40 years to find my true calling. Guess I was always a little slow.But now I am just where I should be and I am sticking with it.
