Barbara's Story

I live in Lago Vista Texas. We moved here in 2016 when Dennis retired. Chemical Engineer Dow Chemical Co. Freeport Texas. We have moved to Los Angeles area 5 times, and each time moved back to LJ, TX. We have three grown children. 2 are married, one is still "looking" 2 granddaughters and one on the way. They are my whole life! The wildest thing I ever did in school? In Sapulpa? NOTHING!!! There is nothing to do there! My heroes are my husband and Ronald Reagan, OF COURSE!!!!!! My biggest surprise in life? Can't think of anything. I learned from my kids & from my husband - that boys and men are really neat people and really nice. All the boys and men I knew before my husband and sons were ALL so mean to me. From my husband and sons I learned that guys have feelings and they are capable of loving. ad stayed in Sapulpa or even Oklahoma! And my daughter is wonderful too! She is a beautiful young woman. My daughter in law is wonderful too! If I won $100 million dollars? I would by a Bugatti. OF COURSE! To be truly happy I would be HERE doing what I am doing!~ I would love for my kids to still be about 2 - 4 years home and still here at home with us. Those were the best years ! What happened to my first crush? I MARRIED HIM in 1973! And I must fix his dinner soon! If you got one do-over what would I do? I would pay no attention to boys, or style, or fads, or parties and study hard and make all A's. Naw....... What would surprise everyone at a reunion? That I am so old and wrinkled and old, and really old. Did I mention old? and FAT, super fat... My first paying job besides babysitting was at Humes Drug and I got 25 cents an hour!~
