Barbara's Story
After 30+ years as a teacher and Department Head I retired in 2006. I wonder how I had the time to work full time as now I am busier than ever. I work part time during the school year as a teacher for homebound students. It is very rewarding.
Since retiring I have really gotten into golf and improved my game substantially. I am on the MWGA team from my golf club; we travel around Long Island in competitions. My daughter and I also golf together and travel about three times a year. We own three weeks of timeshares, two in Starwood Sheraton and one in the Melia Vacation Club. Our next trip is to Florida (Vistan...Expand for more
a Resort) in November, and then to Cancun (Westin Laguna Mar) in the end of January.
In retrospect, anthough life dealt me a horrific card in Jan. 1991, with the sudden death of my husband, I have indeed been fortunate. I have learned to appreciate the wonderful memories of our years together; to live every day to the fullest; to savour all that life has afforded me. I am blessed with a loving daughter and many devoted friends. We recently adopted two kittens, Tiger and Lily, who add lots of joy to our lives.
I look forward to hearing from friends on classmates. Our 50th reunion in June was great! Keep in touch.
