Barbara's Story

attended APHS and Brookdale Community College..Worked at Fort Monmouth for 33 years in different capacities the last 12 years as a Technology Transfer Specialist (don't ask). I was married to John Perna for 8 years and had two sons, Anthony John "A.J.", now 47 years old, and Nick, now 42 years. Have 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, 16, Vivian Rose,12: and Noah,8. Divorced and in 1976 Married Russ Hartley. Fortunately this marriage "took" and we were married for over 30 years before his death in 2007. l and that is reflected in my favorite music, books, movies, and TV. Maroon 5 and Hall and Oates;; Books include the Twilight Series and anything by Nora Roberts .Favorite ,movies include the Twilight series (again), Hannah & her Sisters, and Moonstruck; TV shows include Dancing with the Stars,,and General Hospital. I've had some medical problems the past 7 years. 2 total knee replacements and 3 spinal surgeries, the last total spinal reconstruction in Nov 2013. I've had to learn to walk all over again and anticipate getting out of this wheelchair soon..
