Barbara's Story
right after we graduated i married my junior high & high school sweetheart, eddie reynolds but it did last. i went to work at bell helicopter, where i met my daughters father. i quite to stay home with my baby. that marriage ended also. i then went to work at general motors where i met my third husband. that marriage ended also and was the last. i was a team leader when i went to supervisor classes and was supervisor in the body shop where my ex worked. that was a problem and a real exsperence. one of the men working under my supervision in trim got mad at me and pulled a knife and threatened to gut me. i was unable to go back to work so i took ...Expand for more
early retirement after nearly 23 years there. i had a class a motorhome because my dream was to travel after i retired. by this time i had a granddaughter. she helped me pick out the rv. she did some traveling with me. another woman from church and i took a mission trip in the new england states for a summer. we helped churches with vacation bible schools and parents night out. i even got to play piano for one church pa. while working at GM, i attended DBU, but was unable to finish after i retired. now i have 2 dogs, 3 cats, 4 birds of various kinds, and 3 gold fish in a pond in the entryway of my house in arlington. i'm kind of a homebody now.
