Michael's Story
After graduation I went to work for National Cash register on 12th street in D.C.. A short time later I was told my number was coming up to be drafted so I joined the Air Force in 1965. I was trained as a fire control specialist on the F100. During my training in Denver I met my wife of 42 years Lynn. We were married in 1967 in Denver(we are now separated). After my discharge I moved to St. Louis where I settled for over 40 Years. have grandkids first)both of our kids are going to be 40 this year (2009). In St louis I was working as a Parts Manager for a Ford dealer. I was looking foward to retiring when a friend of mine called me to look at a dealer in Ft Lauderdale that was having problems in the Parts Department. Well as it turned out I was given a deal I couldn't turn down. So rather than retiring I took the job as Parts Manager at the number one Volkswagen dealer in North America. I still have my home in St Louis and plan someday to finally retire there. But for now I am enjoying myself in Florida.
