Barbara's Story
I've lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. I am a VP of Admin in charge of human resources, benefits, etc. I have been married to Tom for over 20 years, and we have two boys (Alex & Sam) and 3 dogs (Mo, Hunter & Sadie). Thankfully, the last hermit crab died...but we have now added a goldfish (sigh!).
I am a breast cancer survivor -- thus the short hairstyle (I knew I was gray, but who knew I was so dark?!!?).
My Mother and Sister (Kari) are wonderful!!! My Mom still lives in Eau Claire and works at UWEC, and she is in her 80's! Kari lives with her boyfriend in Minneapolis, and she is in her 40's!
My two boys are sweethearts. Alex is a cross country & track runner. He loves the one mile, and last year he ran it in 4 minutes 54 seconds. His goal is a ...Expand for more
4 minute run -- good for him! He would like to major in science in college and then go on for his masters in divinity. He would like to become a pastor some day, and I am not surprised. He has a compassionate and kind soul.
Sam plays football, basketball & runs track. He loves animals (I call him the dog whisperer in our household!). We like to ride our bikes together, and we are hoping someday to bike in the LA Marathon. Once we can ride our bikes 5 times around Lake Balboa, we will be ready! We love to have our picture taken together in any photo booth we happen upon. Our favorite booth is at the mall, and sometimes we ride our bikes to the mall just to have our pictures taken in the photo booth. We have quite a collection now -- great memories!
