Barbra's Story
After getting married, becoming a mother and being divorced by the age of 24, I went to IU and earned my degree. I was single for seven years and got back together with my old high school sweetie, Steve Yockey (North Central, 68). We have been happily married for 27 years. Our two daughters are 39 and 34. One is a business owner with 3 children and the other is a mother of 2 and a teacher like her father. es. I have retired after 20 years of being a graphic artist to enjoy my life in the country. Most of our free time is spent on our pontoon boat with our 2 Labradors enjoying the lake. I do make time to volunteer with the Johnson County library and am very active in our home owners association. Steve is still teaching in IPS. He is looking forward to retirement in the next few years. Our lives are busy, but we have been blessed and are very content enjoying our children, grandchildren and the lake. Life is good!
