Beach, California, I decided to stay in California and got a job with Pacific Telephone and Telegraph, now know as SBC., got married and had 3 children. After being rattled by the earthquake on February 9, 1971, my wife wanted to know how long it would take to get a transfer out of California. Didn't take long, as I received a transfer to New Mexico on July the 4, 1971. We stayed in New Mexico until being transferred by the telephone company to Denver, Colorado. We stayed in Denver, Colorado until retiring in 1996. We now make our home in Portland, Oregon. We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Almost had 7, but one was stillborn. My wife Pat and I will celebrate our 40th wedding aniversary on August 28, 2005. That's it for now.
