Barry's Story
I'd be dead or still in jail if I hadn't gone active duty Army. Served 12 years in uniform traveling hither and yon for Uncle Sam; lived 9 years in Germany [10th ENGR BN 82-86 - Kitzingen, 709th MP BN 88-92 - Frankfurt], 2 in Texas [3/3 FA BN - Ft. Hood], 1.5 in Kentucky [HHC, 229th AHB - Ft. Campbell] and spent a summer in Iraq helping the Kurds find their way. Left active duty in 1992, came back to Nebraska and haven't left since. fying soldiers. Card-carrying member of VFW, American Legion, NRA and Patriot Guard Riders. Took advantage of military education benefits and will finish my masters degree in information technology in 2009. Currrently work for a community college in central Nebraska and am the senior server administrator as well at technology trainer for everyone outside the IT department. Married twice, divorced twice, 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters and finally a grandson. Still play my rock and roll loud but gave up a lot of the other things I did in high school.
