Barry's Story
Life
FACTS:
Joined the Marines out of HS; went to college; got married; dropped out of college; went to work; got divorced; quit work; went back to college; moved to California; graduated; went back to work; retired.
RELATIONSHIPS:
In the autumn of my life, I reminisce fondly about the 3 women who entered at different stages of it. However, bachelorhood fits me comfortably these days.
FUTURE:
It's a whole new cyber-world out there. For the price of a local call, I can chat with someone from Spain in real time. In contrast, it took Columbus about 4 months to cross the Atlantic and he had to kiss Isabelle's butt to get the bucks to finance the deal. (Kind of like today when you go to the bank to float a loan.)
If the mood moves me, I can run a small business out of my home, instead of trudging off to "the office" which, as everyone knows, really cuts into your golf game.

portunities, both leisure and business, within easy grasp.
School
Unlike some, I loved every minute of it.
College
I do not and never have considered myself a professional student.
However, I've attended 11 schools in 3 states at various times over about a 30 year period accumulating about 175 units, but only a BA.
I never attended school solely to obtain a vocation. I went, primarily, to find out about the world around me.
As is so often the case, I rarely used specific degree knowledge on the job. Nevertheless, the knowledge obtained definitely broadened my view of life for which I am eternally grateful.
My most memorable college was the one where I lived in a dorm and the campus was a small city unto itself. It even had ivy on the buildings. I highly recommend this type of college environment to everyone in comparison to a school where everyone drives to it, has class and drives home; safe in their cocoon from conflicting ideas, cultures and religions.
