Left Colville in 1974, thought it was the end of the world like most teenagers would at that age. Moved to Dickinson ND for a year, my mom married an old high school boyfriend and we moved to Ogden Utah, it was the end of the world, lasted just over a year, moved back to Dickinson for my junior and senior year of high school. Had a son 11 days before my 18th birthday, graduated high school and started supporting my son, never married his mom. After high school I worked at a truck stop briefly before landing a job managing a clothing store for 3 years got tired of it and moved on to selling cars (wasn't a good enough liar or cheat to be good at it), managed a home improvement store (siding, windows etc), worked in the oil fields during a mini oil boom in North Dakota in the early 80s.
