Folks, contact me directly flamlat at verizon.net. As of 2013 I cannot afford to subscribe to this service, so any messages after my Summer 2012 trip to WI have gone un-viewed and unanswered.
Washington Scroll reporter, feature story writer, record reviewer and humorist, Stage Band, guitarist, band leader of The Lords and Abbas Monta, composer indebted to Cliff Gribble. Sophmore year ex-marine sgt gym instructor forced us to do 4 laps around the track (one mile!) and I nearly died at age 15 - since late 40s, I run to stay in shape.
Today, flamenco guitarist, singer, composer, founder/director of Flamenco Latino, a non-profit arts org. having its own studio/theater in Midtown Manhattan. ormances, host workshops with guest artists from Spain and keep NYC's premiere flamenco center alive and kickin', each earning about as much as my Milwaukee Journal paper route paid by the week in 1965.
Known variously within the flamenco and latin communities as: El Guapo de Milwaukee, Basilio y su Vacilon, Mas Facil con Basil, and El Wisconseno y sus conocimientos de casi mil variedades de queso.
Planning to be in Milwaukee for the first time without a funeral obligation 8/28/11-9/3/11, as well as visit Madison (8/30-8/31) and maybe Chicago (8/31-9/1).
