Linda's Story
Life
I married too young, was a parent too young, now I am getting old and wish I were young.
As Infants we tumble,
As Toddlers we stumble,
As Teens we grumble at life.
In our Twenty's we bumble,
In our Thirties we fumble,
In our Forties we finally start to get it Right.
Oh, you want a BIO?? Here it is...
LIFE.....3 sons, 3 step children, 11 grandchildren and a wonderful spouse. NO REGRETS...
School
Went to Brighton Schools from Sept 1954 to June 1968. Kindergarten teacher was Mrs Thompson. My Home Economics teacher was Mrs Arnold. I remember I was in Art Class/Mrs Knight,, when we were told of President Kennedy's death. I never rode a bus to school, I aways walked across town. Through snow and rain, that was so bad....no wonder I was so hard. My feet were hurting. ...Expand for more
My favorite teacher was Mrs Ikens (English). I was not popular with the in crowd kids, but that did not bother me, who even remembers them?? WHO?? I hope they all obtained greatness. As they know it, of course. Peer pressure is so cruel. And last but not least my favorite Principal-Mr Lawson.
Workplace
Worked for Ford Motor Co, Cars-n-Concepts,Michigan National Bank, and a few months for Standard Federal after the buy out of Michigan National by ABMAMBRO.
Mrs Hood my teacher, giving me a new dress for school.
I always wanted to be a policewoman when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a unreasonable idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
If I won $100 million, I'd give a portion of it to charity, then spend the rest on family, friends and myself.
